Her unprecedented stride illuminates the path that she has purposefully chosen. As she advances, cadence is maintained against the pulse and rhythm of this world that is always moving fast and demanding the best of her. She is a survivor, cutting through unparalleled stereotypes, relinquishing the burden that she must always look the part. She knows that she must simply be a part of something that will make the change that the future desperately needs. She understands her plight in not being taken seriously because her unique ability is sometimes overlooked in industries that are not usually dominated by her gender. Still, this woman persists and defies those odds, changing the trajectory of her own life and of those people she was destined to reach and teach. She is a woman on the move.
The legacy of this woman bares the tale of basic human rights being denied as her great grandmother was not allowed to apply for certain jobs or even vote. This woman decided that she would demolish stereotypes and fight for equality and has done so with tenacity ,strength and great success. This woman knows that there is a seat at the table for other women and that she should make room for talent and not
begrudge it. She holds the door open for the woman who is trying to start a venture capital. She invests in great potential as she understands that we must break the cycle of poverty and not keep our wealth to ourselves.
A woman on the move is a force to be reckoned with as she jumps the barricaded fence of injustice and inhumane impropriety against the female workforce. She speaks up for the unprotected and disenfranchised communities of this world. She is not gunning for a Pulitzer or Nobel Peace prize but is content with doing humanitarian work on a global stage or in a village in the wilderness. She will make the journey across the ocean to find a little girl living in abject poverty and will remove the scales from her infant eyes telling her that she is indeed beautiful. Whether this woman is a single mom, married with kids or single with no kids, her value in every stratosphere of life is irreplaceable. Whatever she was placed on this earth to accomplish will be executed with a spirit of excellence as her tenacity was formed from the strength
of Adam’s rib. She’s been on the move for many years juggling many complex situations and making significant sacrifices. In some instances, she doesn’t schedule breaks but rejuvenates herself through the smiles of the children she rescued from persecution. She hydrates her soul with the tears of the woman she helped to escape abuse and hardship.
She runs literacy programs and book clubs at no cost so that the future will sustain great writers, educators and future stewards in every profession possible. She does this because she knows what is at stake if the younger generation does not learn how to read. A woman of this nature is prayerful as she knows that she can do all things with the help of God who is able to give her strength. She can draw from the library of strength that her predecessors imprinted on the pages of history. The women who are no longer able to move, afforded her a deluge of opportunities along a path they created so she could advance much faster than they were ever allowed. With quiet confidence, this woman will create her own legacy. She will pass the torch to a younger version of herself so that the movement of courageous women will perpetuate for generations to come.
